It was a great professional year. I solved a number of unknown parentage cases – some of which took more than a year of work. I also wrote full family histories for multiple clients and worked on many projects helping people gain Irish citizenship and solve smaller mysteries. Here’s some highlights in numbers.
61 classes/lectures taught
2 letters (latest below) published in the Irish Times and I also featured in a big article about DNA testing and in another in the Irish Mail on Sunday.
2 international genealogy conferences (Rootstech, Strathclyde)
Over 100 hours of Continuous Professional Development learning (Advanced DNA at GRIP was a highlight!)
64 books read.
1 new direct ancestor added to my family tree (hello, John Norton, a 5x great-grandfather) and 81 people added to my family tree (far more work done on other people’s trees!)
Lot’s more to come in 2025! See my blog coming soon for some details.
Hi Claire,
I have sent you 2 emails requesting assistance with our Irish ancestors & haven’t received a reply. I wonder if I sent it to the wrong web site.
