I’m excited to announce that I’ve been appointed Director of Irish Studies at the International Institute for Genealogical Studies.
The Institute has an enormous array of courses for genealogy enthusiasts. I’ll be working to update their Irish content and also help tutor students with Irish ancestry. Their new website is coming at the beginning of January. I’ve had a sneak peek & it looks great.
I’ll still be taking on private clients, teaching my classes in Ireland and working with family histories societies around the world. The future is bright!
Hi Claire – I’m excited to learn of your involvement with IGS and its upcoming new look website. I had planned to take some of their Irish courses in the new year and now will watch for you in particular. I also very much enjoyed your interview on the Family Histories podcast.
Happy holidays from an Irish diaspora descendant in Canada!
Thanks, Anne! Happy New Year.
